Are you studying in Ariel?
Ma'ale Ephraim is a small town in the center of the Jordan Valley, a 25-minute drive from Ariel University. The 30 students who live there, besides a Young Families Community and a Gap Year Program group enjoy every day the beautiful landscape of the Jordan Valley. On a daily basis, they are busy studying, volunteering in the town of Ma'ale Ephraim, and building a community of young people in the Jordan Valley. At night, they admire the Sartbar - a social pub established by Kedma to promote the culture and community life in Ma'ale Ephraim's region.
Educational institutions near the village:
Social action
Each student leads a social project in the community. The project is initiated and designed together with one of the Kibbutz's residents, after an in-depth evaluation of the local needs and is specifically tailored to channel the energies of these idealistic and driven young adults to strengthen and empower the local community.
A young and kicking community

About the settlement of Ma’ale Ephraim
Ma’ale Ephraim was founded in 1978 and received its municipal status in 1981. South of Maale Ephraim there is a site of a stalactite cave that serves as a habitat for rare species; the cave was discovered in the early 1990s with the paving of an improved route to the Trans-Samaria Road.
