Each student leads a social project in the community. The project is initiated and designed together with one of the Kibbutz's residents, after an in-depth evaluation of the local needs and is specifically tailored to channel the energies of these idealistic and driven young adults to strengthen and empower the local community.
The fun in a student village is the family atmosphere. A student in the village enjoys a social life that can not be found anywhere else: spontaneous sunrise trips, cool jams, bonfires, a community pub, communal meals and especially a cohesive group that will always be there for you ...
Students participating in the program are entitled to discounted accommodation in a magical landscape, a scholarship of 10,000 NIS, and ... a wonderful quality of life.
The program is suitable for male and female students, married and single, studying for a bachelor’s or master’s degree.

Nir Oz is a kibbutz in the Eshkol region in the western part of the northern Negev that belongs to the national kibbutz. The beginning of the kibbutz is the Nir Oz holding, which was established in 1955 and became naturalized in 1957. The area of the kibbutz is about 20,000 dunams. The kibbutz’s agricultural industries include: plowing, irrigation, orchards, cattle (calves for meat) and chicken coops. The kibbutz has a Nirlat factory for the production of silicone sealants, paints and building materials, as well as a company for planning and engineering development. As one of the communities in the Gaza Strip, its residents are granted an income tax credit in accordance with section 11 of the Income Tax Ordinance. Since 1960, a green dot has been operating at the site – the botanical garden at Kibbutz Nir Oz, which is mainly used for experiments in adapting plants to desert conditions. The garden covers 120 dunams and grows over nine hundred plant varieties.
