Studying in Be'er Sheva?
Shima is a magical secular settlement in the southern Hebron Mountains, where about 80 young families live. The settlement is about 25 minutes from Ben Gurion University, Sami Shimon College and Herzog College. In the student village in the locality live 20 male and female students, who wake up every morning to the original landscape of the desert book. Students enjoy a young and cohesive community, and a variety of cultural, educational and community events in collaboration with the residents. The highlight of the village is the pub 'Pablo' which the students run every Thursday. The pub produces a cultural center for mountain and surrounding localities and attracts many young people.

About Shema
Shima is a secular Jewish community in the southern Hebron Mountains, belonging to the Mount Hebron Regional Council. Shima was established in 1988 as a Nahal holding called ‘Neta’; the settlement is located about 30 km northeast of the city of Beer Sheva near Road 60.

Each student leads a social project in localities in the area, after an in-depth examination of the regional needs and building an action plan together with the relevant environmental factors. The activity in a variety of areas of activity: welfare, community, culture, agriculture, and more and allows you to realize your creativity and significantly influence society and settlement.
